Kia Ora, My name is Dr Paul Canning. I am a gynaecologist with a special interest in pelvic pain, endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery.

I was born and bred in Whanganui and completed my undergraduate and medical degree at Otago University. I worked as a junior doctor at Whanganui Hospital for 2 years and always planned on being able to move back and put down roots in Whanganui.

I have specifically tailored my training to remain as a general gynaecologist with special interests so I can best serve the Whanganui community.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 4 young children and wife. We enjoy playing and watching sport, fishing and spending quality time with our extended Whanau.
